An interesting book for sure. But I expected a bit more. I have to hand it to Riggs for his innovative use of creepy old photos to craft his story. But it felt a bit gimmicky. I would have liked the story to have been stronger. Riggs’s prose is adequate, but nothing spectacular. I enjoyed this book, but as far as reading the entire series, I think I’ll pass. I wish this novel was a bit more self contained.
