Review: Changes

Changes
Changes by Jim Butcher
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I love Harry Dresden. The character lasts, even after more than a dozen novels thus far. However, it seems like Butcher uses the same bag of tricks, no pun intended, in every story. There is some forward arching in the overall plot, but each novel seems like yet another Scooby adventure. Changes felt like more of the same. Same characters, same style, same sensibility. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan. I will stay current with the series. But I would like to see what Butcher does with another set of characters. My take on Harry Dresden is that he is best read in moderation. Don’t read more than 2 of this series back to back.
